Oh Sugar Sugar

Hey everyone. So we had another appointment yesterday and it went fabulously. We were supposed to get the gestational diabetes test done yesterday also but since we didn't have the glucose drink (see the delicious picture on the right.. :S), we get to wait for our next appointment to get poked. They will also take an iron test but the Dr. said he wasn't worried about it since the originally blood count was one of the highest he'd ever seen. (Pumpin' iron, through the veins.. oh yeah!).

We also received the results back from the blood tests regaurding diseases. Neither one of us are a carrier (for any birth related diseases) so we're all good. After taking the tests it showed a significant drop of the chances of any retardation or anything compared to the national average. Go us!

She's about 13 1/2 inches and weighs about a pound and a half. The due date has been fluctuating within 5 days plus or minus, but the Dr. said it's best to keep it at the May 17th date since that's what it seems to be rotating around.

As far as names, we're still working on it!!! We've kind rotated around 2 or 3 we like, but probably won't be sticking with anything until we see her. The Bug's name was switched 2 weeks before he was born, so you never know. (For those of you who don't know, The Bug is Patrick. ;) )

'Til next time,
Alex, Danielle, Patrick, & Max

  3. Oooh, I don't if this makes a difference for you but Sophia is the Greek word for wisdom and is used as a FEMALE name for God. :) I love the others too though but that one has my vote.

  4. Ugh, I loathe that glucose drink. When I was pregnant with Noah, the first glucose test came back slightly high so I had to do the more intense one, where you can't eat anything 12 hours before, and it's wayyyyy more concentrated and sweeter than the first one. Then you have to wait at the lab for like 4 hours because they take your blood every hour, 4 times. Bleh. I did not like that at all :S
